YOMOYAMA Co., Ltd. (currently in the process of establishing a corporation) provides a wide range of services from media management to services related to overseas expansion of companies with the cooperation of foreign students studying at Japanese universities.

This time, we will develop a new tea product using Sayama tea for foreigners living in Japan. It will be developed together with Matobaen (representative: Ryutaro Matoba), which manufactures and sells tea in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture.

In Japan, tea is consumed mainly for drinking purposes. We often buy tea in PET bottles at convenience stores and supermarkets. Year by year, the consumption of Japanese tea brewed in Kyusu in Japan, which is the traditional way of drinking, is declining.

On the other hand, in Myanmar, for example, there is a culture of eating tea leaves as a vegetable salad called "tea salad". By finding and utilizing such new ways of drinking and eating tea overseas, I thought that it would be possible to discover new possibilities for Japanese tea.

In this project, we would like to make use of the knowledge of the international students. As a result, we would like to develop attractive new products that make foreigners living in Japan (and Japanese people) more interested in Japanese tea and want to increase their purchase.

We are waiting for applications from students who are involved in target analysis, product concept development, material selection and package design.
